TCMS Students Advance to Nationals for the History Bowl

TCMS 8th grade students Anu Dhanashekar, Dmitri P., Hannah Limburg and Adrianna Delgado participated in the History Bowl Tournament held at Shorecrest Prep in St. Petersburg on October 19, 2013.  They entered the tournament as a JV team (they competed against other middle schools as well as high school teams), placed third and qualified for the National tournament which will be held in April in Washington, D.C.

Dmitri also qualified for the Nationals for the History Bee, having placed 5th in the competition.

The parents of Anu wrote: “We wanted to express our sincere thanks to Mr. Wahnon and Mr. Hahn (8th grade Social Studies teachers) for their tremendous support over the last few weeks as the team prepared for the competition, and coming on Saturday to cheer and support their students. It was a great moral boost to the team.”
