Temple Terrace Hosts Volleyball Clinic for Kids
The Temple Terrace Parks and Recreation Department will be hosting a kids Volleyball clinic on Sept. 17 from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. at the Rec Center.

On Sept. 17, the Temple Terrace Parks and Recreation Department will be hosting a volleyball clinic for boys and girls ages 7-10 and 11-16 at the .
The clinic is open to those who are interested in enhancing their skills or learning more about the sport. The clinic costs $40 and runs from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m.
According to Ashley Schubel, one of the coaches who will be involved with the clinic, the event is open to anyone at any experience level.

“The program is to help children become interested in the sport and learn more about it,” she said. “We want the kids to excel in volleyball by becoming better and continuing with the sport.”
Kids will learn base volleyball skills like setting, serving and hitting from experienced coaches. These skills can help them if they decide to play the sport in the future, Schubel said.

Registration is still open.
“Parents just need to come into the Family (Recreation) Complex and register their child at the front desk and fill out a consent form,” Schubel said.
Children do not have to be members of the Rec Center to participate in the clinic.
