Temple Terrace Police Search For Would-Be Armed Carjacker

Temple Terrace Police are on the lookout for an armed man who attempted a carjacking at the CVS store at 110 Bullard Parkway.

TEMPLE TERRACE, FL – Temple Terrace Police are on the lookout for an armed man who attempted a carjacking at the CVS store at 110 Bullard Parkway.

Police said the would-be carjacker confronted the victim in the CVS parking lot just after 6:30 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 15.

He pointed a gun and demanded the victim’s wallet and car keys. The carjacking attempt went awry, however, when the robber was unable to start the victim’s car.

The attempted carjacker fled east on foot along Bullard Parkway where a police K-9 caught his scent and tracked him north along Ridgedale Road to just north of the Ridgedale Sports Complex, 204 Ridgedale Road.

While searching for the robber, police put Temple Terrace Elementary School on a modified lockdown as a precaution. It was lifted when a search determined the wannabe car thief wasn’t in the area.

Police are searching for a black man in his 20s or 30. He was last seen wearing a red and white v-neck T-shirt, dark-colored shorts, white sneakers and carrying a dark-colored backpack.
