The overall consensus was that J.K. Rowling ended the Harry Potter series at the right time, although fans said they were disappointed to see the series end.
“Rowling has done such a great job with this series there is no way I could ever ask for more,” said Reslyn. “It’s sad that there won’t be any more movies or books but if it just kept going on and on, the series’ legacy might end up being ruined.”
But for other fans, the series will continue on.
“Even though there won’t be anymore movies or books, this isn’t the end,” said Temple Terrace resident Kyle Price. “I always re-read the books just to relive it all over again. I always learn something new each time I read them.”
This was Price’s first year attending a midnight premiere of Harry Potter.
“I usually have to work at this time, but I got really lucky this year,” he said. “This has been quite the night, and I am glad I decided to do this, especially since it is the last movie.”
