Thieves Steal Copper From Residential A/C Units
Temple Terrace Police Department Community Service Officer Tracy Mishler has released this information on recent crimes.

Aug. 2, 3:01 p.m.
5200 block of Seneca Street
Two men were arrested in connection with this crime. They are Segnon Adovi, 21, and Richard Joseph Francis, 21.
The homeowner was in the home and heard noises outside. When she looked, she saw two men in the backyard.
She immediately called the , and responding officers surrounded her home.

Officers came into contact with Francis, who was attempting to cut off a copper tube on the home’s air conditioning unit, according to Temple Terrace Police Officer Tracy Mishler. Francis resisted, and officers deployed a Taser.
Adovi fled over the fence and was arrested on the next street.

Francis and Adovi had parked a 1995 Chrysler Sebring convertible in the driveway of the home. The vehicle is registered to Adovi. The top was down and an A/C core and copper tubing was in the rear seat.
Residents reported observing the vehicle parked in a driveway of a vacant home for sale in the 5200 block of Chilkoot Street prior to this offense, Mishler said. When officers checked that home, they found that the A/C unit had been dismantled.
Adovi is being held at the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office on $9,000 bond, according to arrest records.
Francis is also being held at the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office. According to arrest records, his bond is $25,500. This is his eighth arrest.

Unknown subjects entered an unlocked 2007 Dodge Magnum. Nothing was taken.

8500 block of Caledesi Island Drive (Orange River Estates)
Unknown subjects pried the door lock of a 1998 Ford Mustang and took $5 in change.
According to Mishler, the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office investigated five similar car burglaries in the Temple Park subdivision.

Unknown subjects entered a 2007 Ford Mustang by prying the door lock and took a Garmin GPS unit.
