Titans Face Cowboys in Rematch of District Title Game

In the midst of a last Friday, a photographer leaned in toward Tampa Bay Tech senior running back Clunder Lecount and asked him how he'd like to face Durant in the semifinals.

It was well known at the time that Durant was routing Gaither 23-7 at halftime.

But Gaither (8-3) came out as a different team in that second half, outscoring Durant 31-7 to advance in the playoffs and will now add another chapter to the Gaither-TBT rivalry.

The Titans' back on Nov. 4 was an epic game in which both teams held each other in check and only a last-minute field goal lifted TBT to victory.

Now they meet again with the stakes even higher. The winner will move on to the regional finals and play the winner of Lakeland and Osceola.

It's a sizzling rivalry that promises a knock-down, drag-out game.
