3 Arrested Following Tip About Alleged King High School Shooting Plot

Hillsborough County Sheriff's deputies made the arrests earlier today.

Two adults and a 15-year-old boy were arrested this afternoon after Hillsborough County Sheriff’s deputies received information that the three were planning “to conduct a shooting at King High School,” according to a media release.

Acting on the information, deputies pulled over a 2003 white Hyundai just after 2 p.m. today, Dec. 15. The car was stopped at 6906 N. 56 St., the release said.

Deputies found a .22 caliber handgun in the back seat of the car and a Rossi .38 handgun under the front passenger’s seat, the release said.

All three were taken into custody.

Arrested were Darius Anthony Fuches, 19, of 9861 Morris Glen in Tampa, and Marquez D-Magio O'Quendo, 18, of  8005 Peach Drive in Temple Terrace. A 15-year-old boy was also arrested and taken to the Juvenile Assessment Center. O'Quendo is a senior at King, the release said. All three were charged with carrying a concealed firearm.
