USF Symphony Orchestra Concert

The University of South Florida Symphony Orchestra, under the baton of William Wiedrich, opens its exciting 2013-14 season with Tchaikovsky’s beloved and monumental Symphony No. 4 in F minor. Opening the program will be Beethoven's Overture to Leonore #3 (one of the four overtures composed for his opera "Fidelio"). The centerpiece of the program features USF Professor of Trombone Tom Brantley performing Christopher Rouse's Pulitzer Prize-winning Concerto for Trombone, dedicated to Leonard Bernstein and based on themes from his Kaddish Symphony.
