Woman Identified in Club Drive-By Shooting

While details of a shooting outside Club 301 early Saturday remain hazy, the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office has released the name of the victim.

Deputies say Maribel Sanchez-Garza, 49, was standing outside the 8222 U.S. 301 club just after 3 a.m. when someone driving by fired a shot in the direction of the club. Sanchez-Garza was struck and died at the scene.

At this time, deputies have released few others details in the case. They say the vehicle may be a SUV.
