Woman Killed Crossing Street At Fletcher Avenue, 22nd Street

Detectives are investigating an incident where a woman was killed crossing the street in Temple Terrace early Tuesday morning, Sept. 6.

The woman was crossing against a red light at Fletcher Avenue and 22^nd Street at 6:10 a.m. when she was hit by 2008 Ford Expedition that had the green light. The woman, whose identity has not been released, died at the scene, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office.

The driver of the Expedition, Terrie L. Motes of Lutz, was not injured.

The investigation into the incident is continuing.
