Marcos Flores, Christ by the Sea's 'music miracle,' leaving post to open new studio (vb32963online.com) — Christ by the Sea United Methodist Church on Vero's barrier island will bid farewell to longtime worship arts director Marcos Flores at the end of September as he leaves to open his nonprofit Marcos Flores Piano Studio in Miracle Mile. The new 3,000-square-foot "mini conservatory" on 21st Street will host lessons, recitals, and performances, further enriching Vero Beach's growing cultural scene.
   

2. Vero OK's $1.76M contract to at last rebuild boardwalk (vb32963online.com) — Vero Beach has approved a $1.76 million contract to finally rebuild the Humiston Beach Park boardwalk, with construction set to start November 1 and finish before next spring's turtle nesting season. The project is fully funded through city, county, state, FEMA, donations, and a major in-kind piling donation, and residents should expect some temporary park and beach closures once work begins.
   

3. Register Now for VBMA's 2026-2027 Film Studies Program (indianriverguardian.com) — Vero Beach film lovers can now register for the Vero Beach Museum of Art's 2026–2027 Film Studies Program, with three five-week Tuesday afternoon series starting October 13. You can attend in the Leonhardt Auditorium or stream from home, exploring themes from animal stories to Latin American cinema, with member and nonmember pricing and optional post-film discussions.
