Lighthouse ArtCenter (LAC) will present LUSH 4: A Contemporary Ceramics Biennial from September 10 through November 14, 2026. Featuring 74 emerging and established artists from across the United States and more than $4,000 in awards, the nationally juried exhibition highlights some of today's most innovative and compelling voices in contemporary ceramics.

The fourth installment of Lighthouse ArtCenter's biennial juried open call, LUSH 4 brings together an engaging range of functional, sculptural, and experimental works. From objects rooted in the traditions of the vessel to imaginative sculptures that challenge expectations of the medium, the exhibition demonstrates the remarkable versatility of clay and the many directions contemporary ceramic artists are taking it.

"LUSH 4 will be the biggest presentation of this biennial exhibition to date," says curator Anthony Record. "With nearly 90 ceramic artworks by artists from across the United States, the exhibition is an incredible opportunity to see some of the most exciting things happening in contemporary ceramics today."

The public is welcome to visit Lighthouse ArtCenter Gallery and experience LUSH 4 during regular gallery hours. Visitors can also meet participating artists during the artist reception on Thursday, October 8, from 5 to 7 p.m. Admission to the gallery and reception is free for members, with a suggested donation of $10 for nonmembers. Lighthouse ArtCenter Gallery is located at 373 Tequesta Drive in Tequesta.

Visitors inspired by the exhibition can explore their own creativity through Lighthouse ArtCenter's wide range of classes and workshops for beginning through advanced artists. Registration is now open for the six-week Early Fall session. Offerings include ceramics and numerous other art forms, providing opportunities for adults and young people to learn new techniques, strengthen their skills, and create alongside a welcoming community of artists.

An exclusive sponsorship opportunity is available for LUSH 4. The sponsorship encompasses the full exhibition run and artist reception, providing prominent visibility among Lighthouse ArtCenter's community of artists, members, collectors, and cultural supporters.
