Nationally recognized author, speaker, counselor, and advocate Tanya Brown, sister of Nicole Brown Simpson, will deliver the keynote address at YWCA Palm Beach County's Living in Harmony Luncheon. The event will take place on October 15, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Hilton Palm Beach Airport, 150 Australian Avenue in West Palm Beach.
Presented by Dr. Heidi Schaeffer and the Heidi Schaeffer, M.D. Charitable Trust, the luncheon will honor State Rep. Debra Tendrich with the 2026 Harmony Hero Award. WPTV anchor and reporter Vannia Joseph will serve as emcee. Proceeds will support Harmony House and its work providing safety, healing, and hope to women and children escaping domestic violence.
Following the murder of her sister, Nicole Brown Simpson, Brown became a passionate advocate for domestic violence prevention and mental health awareness. Drawing from her personal experiences with trauma, loss, and recovery, she travels nationally to encourage individuals and communities to break the silence surrounding domestic violence and prioritize their mental and emotional well-being.
The program will also include a video featuring testimonials from domestic violence survivors. Survivors attending the luncheon will be recognized during the program, and purple, the nationally recognized color of domestic violence awareness, will be featured throughout the event.
"Living in Harmony is about more than raising funds. It is about standing with survivors and making sure women and children have a safe place to begin again," said Mary Hart, CEO of YWCA Palm Beach County. "Every ticket, table, and sponsorship helps Harmony House provide the support, stability, and hope families need as they move toward lives free from violence."
