• Undercover sting nets West Palm Beach strip club manager on cocaine charges (cbs12.com) — Police say an undercover sting at the Hideaway adult club on Old Okeechobee Road in West Palm Beach led to the manager's arrest on multiple cocaine-sale felonies. Court records describe two bathroom drug buys by undercover officers in April and May, both allegedly involving small baggies of cocaine. The manager is also being held for another agency on a separate case.
• Florida's Brightline 'Close' to Filing for Bankruptcy, Report Claims (bocaratontribune.com) — Brightline, the high-speed rail line that serves West Palm Beach, is reportedly nearing a Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing to restructure more than $5 billion in debt and interest. Company officials say daily train service, including from West Palm Beach to Orlando and South Florida, would continue as normal, even as Brightline grapples with big losses and recently strong ridership growth.
• Belen cross-country tops in Alabama. Plus Golf results, Ferguson bowling and Pine Crest football (miamiherald.com) — West Palm Beach Oxbridge Academy's football team fell 21-12 at home to visiting Pine Crest, despite a late touchdown push. The rest of the roundup spotlights standout cross-country, golf, bowling, volleyball and swimming performances from schools across Miami-Dade and Broward, including several record-setting and career-milestone efforts.
