📰 News we're reading

• HazMat strike team from 3 Palm Beach County agencies deployed to Northwest Florida (wpbf.com) — West Palm Beach firefighters joined a regional HazMat strike team that left Palm Beach County to help Northwest Florida communities deal with hazardous materials after Hurricane Isaias. Their deployment highlights the training and readiness built here at home, as local crews step in so other first responders can focus on urgent rescue and recovery work in the Panhandle.

• Loxahatchee Publix argument over parking spot turns physical (wpbf.com) — A parking dispute at a Loxahatchee Publix, not far from West Palm Beach, escalated into an alleged assault that left one driver with visible injuries and a local couple facing felony burglary with assault or battery charges.
