BankUnited Supports the National Entrepreneur Center to Bolster Small Businesses

Donation of $15,000 to Help Small Businesses and Entrepreneurship in Central Florida.

BankUnited Inc. (NYSE: BKU) has announced a $15,000 donation to the Florida-based National Entrepreneur Center to support small businesses and entrepreneurship in Central Florida.

“Small business is an essential driver of the Florida and national economies,” said Jackie Bravo, Executive Vice President, BankUnited. “We are pleased and proud to support the work of the National Entrepreneur Center, which helps so many people’s dreams and goals come to fruition through small business success.”

The National Entrepreneur Center is dedicated to providing comprehensive support and resources to small business owners and entrepreneurs. The organization’s mission is to empower entrepreneurs and business owners with the knowledge, tools and connections needed to succeed in today's competitive business landscape.

The National Entrepreneur Center was founded in 2003 through a partnership of Walt Disney World, Orange County Government and the University of Central Florida. The center has grown to house many business support organizations, and is funded by a range of community investors. It’s become a national model of economic development through small business development, coaching and training thousands of entrepreneurs. In many cases there are no costs involved in this critical support.
