
DELRAY BEACH, FL – Lace up for a breathtaking Sunset Stroll at the Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens in Delray Beach on Thursday, April 23, from 5:30–8 p.m.
Sunset Stroll will feature "The Mysteries of Yōkai" with Marcela Lopez Bravo, Florida International University Asian Studies Graduate Program Director and Assistant Teaching Professor. Guests are invited to join her for engaging talks exploring the fascinating world of Japanese yōkai (spirits), including their origins and the stories behind these legendary creatures. Lectures will take place in the Theater.
Highlights include live taiko drumming by Fushu Daiko, South Florida’s premier Japanese taiko ensemble, celebrating over 35 years of performance. Their high-energy shows will take place on the Terrace. Guests can also enjoy koto performances by Emiko Koto in the Sakai Room.
Additional highlights include Asian-inspired cuisine and refreshments from Cornell Café, Niigata Sake, Kaminari Ramen, and Akiko-ya Japanese Sweets, showcasing traditional confections.
Cost is $5 for members (Children 17 & under: Free) and $12 for general admission (Children 6-17 years: $7; Children 0-5 years: Free).
Space is limited. Rain or shine. Tickets will not be available for purchase at the door.
