
The City of West Palm Beach, in collaboration with the West Palm Beach Downtown Development Authority and featuring entertainment by Digital Vibez, will host an end-of-summer back-to-school bash with the return of Vintage Vibes: Back-to-School Edition. This family-friendly event will include entertainment, giveaways, art workshops, healthy snack demos, and more on Saturday, August 1, 2026, from 5 to 9 p.m., on the Great Lawn (100 N. Clematis Street). Admission is free. The first 500 pre-registered students will receive a free back-to-school supply kit (while supplies last; restrictions apply). Kits can be picked up at the event from 5–6 p.m. with proof of registration. Pre-registration is required at wpb.org/vintagevibes. Any kits not claimed by 6 p.m. will be redistributed to registered students on the waitlist.
“Back-to-school season is an important time for families,” said Mayor Keith A. James. “Vintage Vibes: Back-to-School Edition combines fun and meaningful support in one place for our residents. I am grateful to the Community Events team for the opportunities they create to make memories and help our youth start the school year strong.”
Event highlights include:
- The first 500 students to register will receive a back-to-school kit with crayons, pencils, highlighters, folders, a pencil sharpener, paper, scissors, a Chick-fil-A gift card, and more
- Music and entertainment by Digital Vibez, including karaoke, a 360 photobooth, interactive games, and a DJ spinning the latest hits
- Inflatable playground
- Creative art workshops, including the opportunity to customize back-to-school supplies, such as notebooks and folders
- Healthy after-school snack demonstrations
- Food trucks for delicious food and drinks for purchase
- Vendor market, featuring local small businesses
- Prizes, giveaways, and more!
