City Of West Palm Beach Parks And Rec Earns Quality Certification For Youth Programming

The City of West Palm Beachโs Parks and Recreation Department has been awarded the Better Sports for Kids Quality Program Provider (BSKQPP) designation by the National Alliance for Youth Sports. This designation demonstrates the steps the City has taken to ensure a safe, quality recreational environment for children.

The department met key requirements in five categories:
- Accountability
- Coach training
- Parent education
- Volunteer screening
- Written policies and procedures
โWhile there are numerous options for youth sports in our area, parents can be confident that our Parks and Recreation Department has gone above and beyond to keep their children safe as they maintain an active lifestyle,โ said West Palm Beach Mayor Keith A. James. โDespite the challenges the COVID-19 pandemic has presented, the team has done a wonderful job adjusting to ensure the well-being of our young athletes, as well as our employees. Congratulations to the department for this impressive recognition.โ
