City Of West Palm Beach Plans For ‘Revamp Fun In ‘21’ Campaign

The first event, Screen on the Green, will be held on Friday, Jan. 8, and will feature Disney's recent hit "Onward."

The City of West Palm Beach is turning its attention to 2021, with the announcement of the ‘Revamp Fun in ’21’ campaign. The Community Events Division plans to bring back its signature and award-winning programming, including Clematis by Night, Screen on the Green, and Sunday on the Waterfront. The events will be held at the Meyer Amphitheatre with CDC-recommended precautions in place. The site will be temporarily fenced for Revamp Fun in ’21, which will run from early January through early March.

While Clematis by Night and Screen on the Green typically take place on the Great Lawn, the Meyer Amphitheatre setup will allow for more efficient enforcement of the COVID-19 precautions that will be in effect. Precautions include designated pods to social distance guests, maintaining a capacity of 50 percent or less, hand sanitizing stations throughout the venue and frequent cleaning of high-touch surfaces. Guests must wear their masks when they are not in their designated pod. Though it will be fenced for approximately ten weeks, Meyer Amphitheatre will be accessible to the public on non-event dates.

James. “As we turn our gaze towards a promising 2021, we look forward to ‘revamping fun’ with our residents, businesses and visitors. We hope to see you all at these award-winning events!”

The City of West Palm Beach halted all community events programming in March 2020 as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. In the months that followed, the City encouraged the community to have fun at home with DIY projects – all aimed at teaching novice planners how to turn everyday opportunities into an event to remember. The DIY content continued through the summer, with a surprise Fourth of July fireworks show. In August, the City launched “Show on the Go,” a drive-thru movie watching experience. Since then, with the statewide amendments to COVID restrictions and precautions in place, the City has safely brought back the West Palm Beach GreenMarket and Holiday in Paradise featuring Sandi.
