City Of West Palm Beach, University Of Florida Institute Offers Climate Smart Floridians Program

The program is scheduled to begin on Feb. 11.

The City of West Palm Beach Office of Sustainability is offering the Climate Smart Floridian program to residents and businesses. This online, 7- module program helps individuals develop the skills needed to curb their household climate impact through the study of climate change, home energy, renewable energy, yards, food, water, green building, transportation and consumption with a special focus on climate issues and impacts specific to West Palm Beach. The program is being offered in partnership with the University of Florida Institute for Food and Agriculture Science Extension Service. Class size is limited, and preference will be given to City of West Palm Beach residents and businesses. Upon completion of all 7 modules, a certificate will be awarded to each participant.

WHEN: The program is scheduled to begin February 11, 2021.

TO APPLY: Visit Climate Smart Floridian Program. Applications will be accepted until February 7, 2021 or until all spots are filled. For those who do not have computer access, we are exploring a safe way to hold this program in-person in the future. Please email EChristian@wpb.org for more information regarding possible in-person classes.
