Levin-Abir Appointed Executive Director FIDF Palm Beach/Broward
Susan Levin-Abir has joined Friends of the IDF as the organization's Palm Beach/Broward Region Executive Director.

BOCA RATON, Fla. – Friends of the Israel Defense Forces (FIDF) announced today that Susan Levin-Abir has joined the organization as the Palm Beach/Broward Region Executive Director.
In her new role, Levin-Abir will focus on increasing awareness of FIDF and its mission to provide life-changing support for the soldiers who protect Israel and the Jewish people worldwide.
Originally from Southfield, Michigan, Levin-Abir immigrated to Israel in 1995 with her family, where she worked for Motorola, opened an English-language teaching program for children, and served as a fundraising consultant for the building of an emergency medical center in the Negev desert city of Arad.

Ten years later, Levin-Abir moved to Chicago, where she worked at Jewish National Fund and earned a master’s degree in Jewish Professional Studies from Spertus Institute. She subsequently became Hadassah’s Director of Development for the Midwest Region before transferring to Florida as the organization’s Director of Development for South Florida.
Levin-Abir has a bachelor’s degree in Film/Video studies from the University of Michigan and a master’s in Jewish professional studies from the Spertus Institute for Jewish Learning and Leadership.

“Susan is inspired by a deep commitment to the soldiers serving in the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), providing them with educational and well-being benefits and services,” said FIDF Palm Beach/Broward Region President Robert Hammer. “We expect Susan to lead our chapter with dedication and enthusiasm and enjoy further success in the coming years.”
Levin-Abir joins Brian Sarran, the FIDF Palm Beach Development Director, as leader of this prominent FIDF chapter. FIDF will hold its Palm Beach/Broward 15th Annual Gala, honoring Dr. Jeffrey and Barbara Feingold, on February 13, 2019 at The Polo Club of Boca Raton.
