Registration Now Open For Multiple City Of West Palm Beach Spring Sports Leagues

The City of West Palm Beach Parks and Recreation Department is currently accepting registrations for its inaugural Spring 2021 co-ed flex disc golf league, youth travel basketball league and a youth volleyball clinic in conjunction with Hi-Five Sports. League details are listed below.

Flex Disc Golf

REGISTRATION: Now through February 26, 2021, or until slots are full.
WHEN: Games will start the week of March 1, 2021. City staff will post course availability schedule online, teams will coordinate game weekly game times with their opponent. Winner will email score to recreation staff.
WHERE: Dreher Park
COST: $25 per player.

Volleyball Clinic

REGISTRATION: Now through February 12, 2021, or until slots are full.
WHEN: Every Tuesday from the week of February 16, 2021 through the week of March 23, 2021.
WHERE: South Olive Community Center (345 Summa Street)
COST: $75 for city residents, $85 for non-residents.

Travel Basketball

REGISTRATION: Now through March 6, 2021, or until slots are full.
WHEN: Open gym begins the week of March 1; practice begins the week of March 8; games begin the week of March 29; playoffs begin the week of May 10.
WHERE: Most City of West Palm Beach community centers will host their own travel basketball team. Players will select which location they play for at the time of registration. Please call for additional details.

COST: $60 for city residents, $75 for non-residents. (Please note, fees will increase by $10 as of Friday, March 12, 2021.

Following the latest CDC recommendations for COVID-19, the Parks and Recreation Department has implemented the following safety guidelines for all sports leagues:

• Every athlete and staff member will undergo a temperature check prior to each game
• Participants must wear a mask until they reach the temperature checkpoint
• Staff members are required to wear a mask
• Hand sanitizer will be available for all participants
• Spectators must watch from outside of the field’s fencing/court perimeter.
