West Palm Beach Named Smart Cities Collaborative Peer City By Transportation For America
WPB is one of 14 cities and municipal agencies in the nation to join the collaborative.

The City of West Palm Beach is one of 14 cities and municipal agencies in the nation to join Transportation for Americaโs Smart Cities Collaborative, a year-long program for public sector transportation leaders to share experiences with new mobility technologies and develop best practices to ensure that these services improve city life. The Smart Cities Collaborative is a support network that provides direct technical assistance to leading edge cities advancing smart urban mobility strategies. The program helps cities proactively develop smart mobility policies and projects to improve mobility and quality of life.

The City of West Palm Beach was selected as a Peer City, in part, because of the cityโs commitment to reaping the benefits of new transportation technologies for residents in an equitable, safe and sustainable manner.
โTransportation technology is changing how we all live and work,โ said West Palm Beach Mayor Keith A. James. โBeing named a Smart Cities Collaborative Peer City will support the cityโs efforts to enhance the cityโs transportation network to improve residentsโ mobility and quality of life. We look forward to sharing our experiences with other cities and learning from their experiences as well.โ
