Aaron's Unveils 9th Renovated Keystone Club In 2015 At Boys & Girls Clubs Of Northeast Florida
Teen Center Makeover Result of Retailer's Partnership with Boys & Girls Clubs of America
Aaron’s, Inc. (NYSE: AAN), a lease-to-own retailer specializing in the sales and lease ownership of furniture, consumer electronics, home appliances and accessories, teamed up with Boys & Girls Clubs of America (BGCA) today to surprise teens with a newly renovated Keystone teen center at the Beaches Clubhouse of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Northeast Florida.
With input from the teen members, Aaron’s associates and Club officials went to work Wednesday morning painting, decorating and furnishing the Club. Local Aaron’s associates and Club officials then surprised the teen members on Thursday with the makeover, which included new technology, furniture, and fresh coats of paint.
“As we look back at the great work we’ve been able to accomplish with the Boys & Girls Clubs of America this year, I’m extremely proud of this partnership and the fresh start it’s giving to thousands of teens across the country with their newly renovated spaces,” said John Robinson, CEO of Aaron’s, Inc. “This year we’ve completed nine Keystone Club makeovers with the Beaches Clubhouse in Jacksonville as the grand finale. The renovated Keystone Club spaces provide a safe place for teens to learn, study and spend time together as they develop their leadership skills and learn how to give back to their own communities.”

“The Beaches Clubhouse provides a fantastic resource for local teens and this remodel is exactly the kind of facility that they deserve,” said Deborah Green-Ward, Unit Director of the Beaches Clubhouse of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Northeast Florida. “We know the teens will use this renovated space to invite other teens in the area to join our Club so that they can in turn learn and develop their leadership skills.”
In August, the Aaron’s Foundation, Inc. announced a three-year, $5 million national partnership with Boys & Girls Clubs of America’s Keystone Program, which helps teens develop their character and leadership skills in hopes of helping them reach their potential and creating positive change in the community. Keystone Club teen centers provide members ages 14-18 an environment to plan and participate in activities that focus on community service, academic success, career preparation and teen outreach. The Keystone Club makeover at the Beaches Clubhouse of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Northeast Florida includes an additional in-kind retail donation valued at $20,000.

Aaron’s hopes its partnership with BGCA’s Keystone Program inspires teens to “Own It” by taking ownership of their choices to build the lives they deserve. The Aaron’s and Keystone Club “Own Your Future” campaign supports three principles:
· Own Your Path: No matter where you come from, the future is yours to decide.
· Own Your Decisions: Making good choices opens more doors for your future.
· Own Your Community: Use your talents to make an impact in your community.
