Accident Closed Veterans Expressway Exit

The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office was warning motorists that the northbound Veterans Expressway exit at Linebaugh Avenue was shut down following a Monday morning accident.

One westbound lane of Linebaugh in the area was also closed.

The accident in question happened when two men working on road construction in the area were injured. The sheriff’s office says the men were pumping concrete out of a truck and filling wheel barrows when the hose from the truck “kicked up and struck both individuals in the face.”

The men were transported to St. Joseph’s Hospital for treatment. The extent of their injuries is unknown at this time.
