AT&T Launches Text-To-Give Campaign to Benefit Flint Kids

Mobile Users Can Text FLINT to 27722 to Make a $10 Donation for Relief Efforts.

Here is an easy way that anyone across the country can help residents of Flint, Mich.: Helping is as simple as sending a text.

AT&T is launching a text-to-give campaign to benefit children affected by the Flint water crisis.

Here’s how it works:

Ø Simply text FLINT to 27722 to make a $10 donation to the Flint Child Health and Development Fund. When prompted, reply to confirm the donation.

Ø Donations sent via text-to-donate are added to a customer’s monthly wireless bill.

Ø Donations collected will support the Flint Child Health and Development Fund of the Community Foundation of Greater Flint, devoted to promoting positive health outcomes for Flint’s kids.

Today’s announcement comes on the heels of AT&T’s initial effort to help those

affected by the Flint water crisis. In late January, the company contributed $50,000 to

support efforts of the Community Foundation of Greater Flint and its Flint Child Health and

Development Fund. AT&T has also set up a Your Cause employee contribution page to

allow the company’s employees around the world to contribute to the recovery efforts in

Flint.

Michigan. “Mobile technology keeps people better connected than ever before. The text-to-

give campaign goes an important step further, not just keeping us connected, but

lending a helping hand.”
