Beauty & Banter: 3 Reasons to Love the Fall Months

Summer has come and gone as we send our children back to school and prepare for the coming fall and winter months. The time of year is upon us where the weather begins to cool down (hopefully) and the holiday decorations begin to emerge from the storage bins. This is my most absolute favorite time of year. There is just something about the changing seasons that gives me a sense of pleasure and anticipation.

1. Festivities-I look forward to this time as the summer months begin to pass by. I enjoy the festivities of fall festivals, pumpkins picking, Halloween costumes, and preparing for my son's first birthday in mid October. The holidays are approaching around the corner and I can’t help but get excited for the upcoming season. 

2. Fashions- The fashion magazines September issues are bulging with the designers newest and editors’ most coveted items for the upcoming season. The stores carry the trends and fashion must haves and it prompts me to want to add many new items to my already bulging closet. Sometimes I resist, but other times I am powerless against the pull of the fashion season. This is also the time when I can now wear my darkest nail polish and not feel like I am a trendy punk emo. 

3. Climate- The weather calls for heavier clothing and the sweaters and jeans are pulled from the back of the closet and brought to life.  My children long for the days when we can play at the park without the scorching temperatures and time can be spent outside without water. Long bike rides, outdoor workouts, and family time is treasured together.
