Corey Knows Best: Falling in...

Picking apples.  Pumpkin patches.  Mulled cider.  Chili Sundays.  Leaves changing.  Windows open.

I miss them all.

Perhaps I should explain.  Hi!  My name is Corey and I'm a new blogger here at the Patch.  I'm a VERY recent mid-west transplant to the Westchase area.  I'm a journalist by trade but am currently staying home with my two kids (3 and 1) to see who can outlast whom.  I'm a mommy blogger.  I take pictures for fun (a hobby I hope to turn into a business).  I'm a Pisces but I have no idea what that means.  And I miss the fall.

My pumpkins are rotting.  I can't keep my mums alive (truth: even in mid-west I couldn't keep mums alive, I should really stop buying them).  And the thought of something cooking in the crock pot all day makes me sweat.

I know I will not feel this way in February because I promise I won't miss snow.  But right now I am homesick for a change of seasons. 

This is where you come in. What are the best fall activities in Tampa?  Any fun farms we should visit? A good Oktoberfest?  Or should we just plant our toes firmly in the sand and listen to the ocean and forget it's October?
