1. Go for a slow walk outside. Walking helps you release anxiety, causing the body to relax. No matter where you walk, in a park, a city street or the beach, take time to look, hear, feel and smell. Fresh air and sunshine have a remarkable way of helping us reset our priorities.
2. Get a massage. Getting a massage not only increases relaxation but it also helps to decrease anxiety, lower blood pressure, increase circulation and help you sleep better.
3. Listen to music. Choose music that has a slow rhythm, something that has a repeating or cyclical pattern to it (like a normal heartbeat). Music can help to change your mood and relieve stress. The key is to choose music you like and that’s different for everyone.
