Congratulations to Our Patch Athlete of the Week
Nichole Lewis is a three-year varsity starter and junior starting pitcher for the Gryphons Softball team.
Stepping into the void left by graduated seniors, Nichole opened the season as Sickles’ number one starting pitcher.
“She came back strong with victories over last year’s State Champions, East Bay and East River,” said Coach Phil Giarrizzo.
She pitched a four hit shutout in The Gryphons’ home opener against Freedom and she’s a “student of the game” both on and of the diamond, said Giarrizzo.
