Congratulations to Our Patch Athlete of the Week

Every week, Westchase Pacth sits down with one of our exceptional athletes.

Brandon Goede is a senior first-baseman on the Sickles Gryphons baseball team. He is helping to shoulder the load on a graduation-depleted squad. His performance so year speaks for itself. He leads the team in batting average at .340, and is second on the team in hits (17).

Brandon is a leader on and off the field. His play on the diamond, work in school and service to his community make him a valuable asset to each of those areas.

Westchase Patch sat down with Brandon this week.

Patch: How did you get started in baseball?

Brandon: I started off in tee-ball when I was five or six. After that, my family and I moved to St. Louis and that’s where I got started in Little League. We lived in Texas for four years and I played Little League there also. We moved to Tampa about seven years ago. I made The Sickles baseball team as a junior and now I’m here.
