Driver in Stolen Car Killed Man in Crash, Deputies Say
The accident happened on Sheldon Road Friday afternoon.

An 83-year-old Tampa man is dead after Hillsborough County deputies say his vehicle was slammed into by a woman driving a stolen Cadillac SRX Friday afternoon.
According to the sheriff’s office, Lawrence Lockhart Jr. was crossing Sheldon Road at Wood Lake Boulevard in a Mercury Mystic when he was struck in the driver’s side by a southbound Cadillac.
The driver of the Cadillac left the scene, walked to a nearby Radiant store and got a ride from there, the sheriff’s office said in an email to media.

Lockhart was taken to St. Joseph’s Hospital where he later died from injuries sustained in the crash, the sheriff’s office said.
The driver is described as a white female who stands about 5 feet, 6 inches in height. She weighs about 140 pounds and has long, reddish-brown hair.
