Expensive Liquor Swiped by 3 Shoplifters, Deputies Say

The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office is looking for help identifying three women connected with a shoplifting in the Westchase area.

Tampa, FL — The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office is looking for help identifying three women its detectives say have expensive tastes in liquor and a willingness to take a five-finger discount.

According to the agency, the women in question walked into The Grapevine, 8969 Racetrack Road, around 7:18 p.m. on July 2. While one of the women distracted the clerk, two others took bottles of liquor off the shelves and stuffed them into their purses, an email from the agency said.

Once their purses were loaded up, the women walked out of the store without paying, the email said. All told, the liquor swiped added up to about $374, the sheriff’s office said. The bottles stolen included Ciroc, Grand Mariner, Patrol and cognac.
