Do you have an old cell phone collecting dust around the house? With new wireless devices continuously being introduced, chances are most people probably have at least one old wireless device or accessory.
Here’s one way you can honor Earth Day: Recycle your old cell phones, tablets and accessories. Wireless customers can recycle their old cell phones, tablets and accessories – regardless of the manufacturer or carrier – by dropping them off at any AT&T-owned retail store.
Last year, AT&T collected 4.3 million cell phones for recycling and reuse and recycled 487,000 pounds of cell phone batteries and accessories.

The company also uses an eco-rating system that makes it easier for shoppers to make an informed purchase. Products are given an eco-rating from 1-5 stars based on five environmental factors: hazardous substances, environmentally preferable materials, energy efficiency, end of life, and responsible manufacturing.
