Join Strides for Mental Health Awareness 5K on Nov. 16 at USF
The 5K at USF will help NAMI Hillsborough provide support for those living with or supporting someone with a mental illness in Tampa Bay.

The Tampa Bay community is invited to run / walk in the 4th Annual Strides for Mental Health Awareness Run/Walk at USF on Nov. 16, 2019. NAMI Hillsborough invites the community to be part of the movement to end stigma surrounding mental illness.
When participants walk on Nov 16, they will walk for the the strides that must still be made to end stigma. NAMI Hillsborough's work will not be complete until it can provide education, resources and advocacy to everyone living with or supporting someone with a mental illness.
Events such as Strides for Mental Health Awareness allow NAMI Hillsborough to provide free support groups for those living with mental illness and their loved ones. The organization also educates and advocates on behalf of those with mental illness.
The Nov. 16 event is free, family-friendly, and open to the public.
Mayor Jane Castor will kick off the event with opening remarks. Other speakers include State Sen. Darryl Rouson, State Rep. Susan Valdes and Tampa City Council Chair Luis Viera.
