Motorcyclist Killed in Hanley Road Crash

A 52-year-old Tampa man is dead following a Sunday morning motorcycle crash on Hanley Road.

According to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, Kevin Croy was heading south on Hanley near Hollowell Drive around 10 a.m. when he failed to negotiate the curve. Croy, deputies say, drove into the median, lost control and was thrown from his 1986 Honda.

Croy, an email from the sheriff’s office said, was pronounced dead at the scene.

No other vehicles were involved in the crash. Deputies say Croy was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.
