Pedestrian Killed in Sheldon Road Crash
The accident happened just before 10:30 p.m. Tuesday as the man was attempting to cross the road.
A 56-year-old Tampa man is dead following a pedestrian crash on Sheldon Road near Meadow View Circle.
According to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, Daniel Paredes-Ocampo was crossing Sheldon Road just north of Meadow View, when he was struck and killed by a 2011 Kia that was heading north on Sheldon.
The Kia’s driver, Jonathan Bryant, 21, showed no signs of impairment, the sheriff’s office wrote in an email to media. He also voluntarily submitted to a blood analysis.

The crash remains under investigation and no charges have been filed at this time.
