Recognize This Car? Suspect Sought For Home Break-In Near Westchase

TAMPA, FL – Hillsborough County Sheriff's deputies are looking for leads on a burglary suspect who allegedly kicked in a home's front door last week and made off with a gun and watches.

The residence, near the Westchase area on the 11200 block of Pocket Brook Drive, was reportedly ransacked June 9 at about 1:38 p.m. Stolen were a black Smith and Wesson snub-nose revolver and approximately six watches, deputies said.

The suspect was described as a black male with short hair, 5 feet, 11 inches tall and wearing a maroon shirt and dark-colored pants. He reportedly was caught on video surveillance cameras arriving as a passenger in a white, 2015-16 Volkswagen with a sunroof, alloy rims, no tinting and a decal or sticker on the upper driver's side corner of the front window, the agency said.

The suspect last was seen fleeing north on Pocket Brook toward West Waters Avenue, deputies said.
