Today's deals: Last day for $100 credit from AT&T, tax-free Amazon shopping for Floridians

Today is a good day to sneak in some shopping time.

It is the last day all new customers and existing AT&T customers will receive a $100 bill credit for each new smartphone, tablet, feature phone, mobile hotspot or Wireless Home Phone line of service they add.

Customers can take advantage of this limited time offer in AT&T retail stores and online at att.com/100credit.

Floridians may want to take care of any shopping on Amazon today before the online retailer starts collecting sales tax on purchases made in Florida. That means the cost of a lot of products sold on Amazon will go up 7 percent for most Tampa Bay shoppers.

The change comes because Amazon is opening fulfillment centers in Hillsborough and Polk counties for distributing goods, Tampa Bay Times columnist Susan Thurston writes. That's enough to create a physical presence for Amazon in Florida, which under state law requires the retailer to collect sales tax.

You also can get some good deals at IKEA this week as it celebrates its fifth birthday in Tampa. Beginning Friday (May 2) and running through Tuesday (May 6), Ikea will offer daily deals, giveaways and discounts, according to Janine Dorsey's Free and Cheap blog.

The first 50 guests in the store from Friday through May 6 receive a free Ikea gift card. The store also will offer discounted products and a 5-cent breakfast on Friday.
