Woman Robbed at Gunpoint After Car Blocks Her Path
A $3,000 reward is being offered for information that leads to an arrest.
Hillsborough County Sheriff’s deputies are looking for some help identifying a man they say blocked a young woman’s vehicle and then proceeded to rob her at gunpoint.
The incident occurred around 12:35 a.m. on Aug. 18 as the 18-year-old woman was driving in the Palmera Pointe Condos. Deputies say her vehicle was blocked by a late model BMW convertible. The passenger in the BMW got out, an email to media stated, and had a pistol in his hand.
When the girl handed money over to the man, he got back into the BMW, which then took off on Hanley Road.

The suspect in the case is described as a Hispanic male who stands about 5 feet, 6 inches in height. He has a thin build and was last seen wearing a black baseball cap, black sweat shirt and blue jeans. The BMW had aftermarket chrome rims, deputies say.

Crime Stoppers announced Tuesday morning that is offering a reward up to $3,000 in the case.
