Better Together, a nonprofit on a mission to build strong families and communities, is partnering with RidgePoint Church to host a second-chance job fair on Tuesday, June 9, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Registration is now open for job seekers and employers to participate in the June event. Second-chance job fairs promote the power of second chances for neighbors who face barriers to employment. These can include past incarceration, homelessness, lack of transportation or child care, or gaps in employment.
With a spirit of hope and celebration, the church-based job fairs empower job seekers by connecting them with local employers who are ready to hire, while offering supportive services that foster meaningful connections and increase opportunities for lasting employment. Free one-on-one job coaching sessions are available to job seekers to review resumes, and additional services will be available onsite.
The June 9 job fair will take place at RidgePoint Church, located at 100 Hatfield Road in Winter Haven. Job seekers and employers can register at BetterTogetherUS.org/RidgePoint or by texting “JOBS” to 844-987-3949.
