Retail Chain Closing All Locations, Including 3 In GA

Painted Tree Boutiques, a national retailer of gifts, home decor and clothing, announced Tuesday that it had closed all of its stores, including three in Georgia, according to its website.

The chain’s last day in business was Monday, according to a news release from Painted Tree Boutiques. Its website listed more than 60 locations nationwide.

“The retail landscape has changed in ways none of us could have fully anticipated,” the news release said.

“Rising costs, shifting market conditions, and the evolving nature of how people shop have presented challenges that, despite our best efforts and our community’s unwavering support, we have not been able to overcome. We are heartbroken by this outcome.”

Painted Tree Boutiques originated as a vintage market in Bryant, Arkansas, and grew over roughly a decade into a chain with dozens of locations. Its website described the store as “an Etsy marketplace and Pinterest catalog come to life.”

In a message to its vendors, Painted Tree Boutiques instructed sellers to retrieve their inventory by April 24.

“We strongly encourage you to retrieve your inventory as soon as possible,” the message said.

The retailer’s website lists Georgia stores in Buford, Roswell and Snellville.
