DOUGLAS, GA — Police on Thursday identified the five family members, including the shooting suspect, who died in an apparent murder-suicide last week in Douglas.
Douglas Police said John Anthony Fabrizio, 64, fatally shot four of his family members before dying by suicide on Oct. 9 at a Robin Lane home.
Though autopsy results are pending, police identified the four family members as Rachel Elizabeth Fabrizio, 64; James Nicholas Fabrizio, 28; Rosaida Figueroa Berrios, 26; and William Christopher Fabrizio, 26.
They lived inside the home together, police said.
Authorities found the family of five dead around 11 p.m. in the Touchton Wood neighborhood, police said. One of the family members called 911, police said.
When authorities arrived, police said they found four adults dead inside the home and a fifth adult later died while at Coffee Regional Medical Center.
Investigators are not seeking additional suspects in the case, police said. A motive was not released.
"The department extends its condolences to the victims loved ones and recognizes the impact this loss has had on our community. We ask the public to respect the privacy of the families during this difficult time," police said in a news release.
