• Officers eating at Chick-fil-A see woman walk in covered in blood with stab wounds: cops (wjla.com) — Acworth police officers eating lunch at a local Chick-fil-A jumped into action when a woman ran in covered in blood from multiple stab wounds. Officers applied a tourniquet that likely saved her life, and investigators soon located and arrested her adult daughter, who faces serious assault and child cruelty charges while the children involved were reported unharmed.
• Health inspection scores for Cobb County restaurants and other food services from August 14 to August 20 (cobbcountycourier.com subscription) — Recent Cobb County health inspections include several Acworth spots, with 1885 Grill Acworth scoring a 92 and Main St. Events by 1885 Grill and Firefly Catering – Base each earning perfect 100s. • Wisconsin-Bound Road Trip Turns Violent After Mom Stabbed 10 Times At Georgia Chick-fil-A (tampafp.com) — Acworth Police officers were inside a Georgia Chick-fil-A when a woman, reportedly stabbed multiple times during a road-trip argument with her adult daughter, ran in for help. Officers assisted until paramedics arrived, while investigators later tracked and arrested the daughter, who faces aggravated assault charges as authorities continue reviewing the case.
