• Freedom Rider Browning to speak at Milton Library Sept. 29 (appenmedia.com) — Residents interested in civil rights history can hear Freedom Rider Joan Browning speak at Milton Library on Sept. 29, in a program co-presented by the Alpharetta & Old Milton County Historical Society. She'll share firsthand stories from the Freedom Rides and her activism in Georgia during the 1960s. The evening event runs from 6:30 to 8 p.m. and is free to attend.
