The free community event will be held at Fowler Park Recreational Center on August 16, 2017, from 4-8pm. More than twenty local businesses will showcase their products and services as a way to further connect our community.
The expo is hosted by A Matter of Motivation who is celebrating a recent expansion. Jackie Martin, CEO says, “I’m on a mission to help people find their purpose by connecting them to their passion, their work, their family and their community.”
A trainer and speaker for over twenty years, Jackie’s passion is reconnecting the disconnected, both at home and at work. The rate of disengaged employees is at an all-time high, costing employers across America more than $500 billion each year (Gallup). “70% of the American workforce is disengaged at work. To me, that's a crying shame. Life is too short to be miserable doing what you do every day. Business owners, leaders and ultimately customers want to associate with happy people who care about their work,” says Martin. “We train, coach and equip business leaders and team members to work through issues with communication, engagement, change and other business issues.”
With our signature workshop series “Connected U” we provide motivational presentations, in-house training sessions, mastermind group coaching and 1:1 coaching. The delivery of these offerings is uniquely participative, interactive and experiential.
Our brand new “Sketchy Workshops” allow participants to practice the skills in a safe “theatrical” environment. Participants learn by using hands-on, personally relevant role plays and interaction to ensure the training is skill-based and effective.
The “It’s All Connected Expo” celebrates A Matter of Motivation’s growth with a Cumming-Forsyth Chamber of Commerce Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at 4:30 pm.
Attendees can also take advantage of free mini-training seminars throughout the event, door prizes, professional headshot opportunities, a fashion show, a variety of vendors, food trucks and meet and greets with community leaders. Learn more about our partners and see the schedule of events here.
