With late-night hours, outdoor seating, and generous portions of dishes like cachapas, tequeños, and Honduran enchiladas, it's quickly becoming a go-to for locals looking beyond the usual Latin options around town.
2. Superintendent Jennifer Scott showcases 90-day entry plan during 'Progress and Plans' sessions (redandblack.com) — Clarke County families just heard new superintendent Jennifer Scott lay out a detailed 90‑day plan for stabilizing and improving local schools, highlighted at recent meetings in Athens venues like Heard Park and the Athens-Clarke County Library. Her priorities include tighter use of data on attendance and behavior, revamped teacher training, new safety efforts, and a revived community leadership academy open to Clarke County residents.
3. Man Was Engaged to a Woman He'd Never Met. One Phone Call Exposed the Alleged Ruse (people.com) — Athens-Clarke County police say a local man discovered his long‑distance fiancée was allegedly a South Carolina man using stolen photos and voice‑changing tech, leading to an arrest on identity‑fraud charges.
