ARMC Auxiliary Celebrates Milestones

Athens Regional Auxiliary Reaches Milestones

(ATHENS, GA October 24, 2012) – The Athens Regional Medical Center Auxiliary is proud to announce its many accomplishments of 2012.

Chief among these accomplishments is raising over $2.8 million for hospital and community projects since 1977. These projects included purchasing three giraffe beds for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). These beds are specially designed for infants in distress situations, and each bed costs $40,000. This fundraising goal and others are met annually through sales at the Pink Posy shop in the hospital and additional charity sales and galas throughout the year. The Auxiliary will continue to support the NICU as its main fundraising recipient in 2013.
