Domestic Partner Benefits for USG Employees

Peace family,

For the past several years, faculty and staff members at UGA have worked diligently to secure domestic partner benefits for university employees.  While these efforts have been successful in establishing some benefits, they have not been able to secure the full benefit package that employees in other university systems around the country currently enjoy.

Georgia Equality would like to invite you to join us on Saturday, January 25 at the Phillip Rush Center in Atlanta to help plan a strategy for engaging the entire University System of Georgia in the effort to secure DP benefits and advance the conversation about how to ensure that all employees are treated equitably regardless of their sexual orientation or gender identity.

The meeting will take place on Saturday, January 25 from 2 – 4 pm at the Phillip Rush Center, 1530 DeKalb Avenue, Atlanta, GA 30307.  The facility is adjacent to the Candler Park MARTA station and does have ample free parking.

We will meet in the Event Room located behind the main office and Radial Café.  For those who are located outside of the immediate metro-Atlanta area, you may participate via Go To Meeting.

This session is not open to the media. 

We are asking that individuals RSVP in advance so that we have adequate materials for the program.
